Superb shot! The shadows work well. Both for the cheekbones and the background. Frames everything nicely.

My favorite detail is the shadow comes half way down the iris of the eyes. Makes them look both mysterious and bright.

there is SO much beauty/sorrow/non-emotive emotion/vulnerability/sadness/love/longing in your photos and your models seem to capture what you gee in your self portraits as well.
